Lepakshi Temple
Lepakshi village  is situated  in the east of Hindupur under the Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh. This temples is date back to the 16th century.

Puttaparthi
Sri Satya Sai Baba  took birth here . Many people visit the place in his memory .

Alur
Alur is a small village located at a distance of 70 kms from Ananthapur.The  lush greens, lofty hills and small rivulets attract many tourists here . The famous Ranganatha Swamy Temple is also situated here. Here an  annual car festival celebration is celebrated every year . .

Hemavathi
Hemavathi is situated at a distance of 160 kms from Anantapur It  served as the capital of Pallavas. Here you will find  remarkable collection of Pallava and Chola architecture. The ruins of an ancient fort, the Hemavathi Fort is found here . Doddeswara Swamy Temple is another structure that was built during the Pallava reign.  Siddeshwara Swamy, Mallikarjuna Swamy and Gorantla temples are also located here.

Raidurga Fort
Raidurga Fort is a primeval structure reveals the history of  Vijayanagar Empire. The  fort has many small forts and temples. The shrines dedicated to Narashimhaswamy, Hanuman, Prasanna Venkatesvara, Jambukeswara, Kanyakaparameswari and Elamma are the prominent ones.

Dharmavaram
Dharmavaram is famous for its elegant silk sarees. The town is located at a distance of  47 km from Anantapur city, Dharmavaram has been named after 'Dharmamba', who was the mother of Sri Kriyasakthi Odeyar.

Penukonda Fort
Penukonda is a small town in Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh.. Penukonda Fortbelongs to  a colossal structure . The fort  boasts of the royalty of the erstwhile era.  In the ancient times, it used to serve as the second capital to the Vijayanagar kings.

Gooty Fort
The fort is situated at a distance of 52 kms from Anantapur city . . Above the plains in Gooty, the impregnable fort is perched at a height of 300 meters, amidst hills. You can take bird's view of the surrounding area from here .

Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple - Kadiri
It is believed that the deity 'Swayambhu' emerged from the roots of Khadri tree. The main attraction here is that the idol sweats. Rathothsavam (Car Festival) is the major event celebrated every year here when many people visit the place .

Thimmamma Marrimanu
The world's largest banyan tree is found here . This huge tree covers an area of 5.2 acres. In 1989, it is recode  in the Guinness Book of World Records, for to its huge  size. Thimmamma Marrimanu is said be nearly 550 years old. Many people come to see the tree here.

Tadipatri
It is 90 kms from Ananthapur, Chintala Venkataramana Temple is known for its gigantic spire. Bugga Ramalingeshwara Temple is another shrine beside Pennar River.  The district is an important district of Andhra Pradesh promoting Tourism in India.

Taj Mahal
